Natural Family Planning

Catholic doctrine forbids contraception but upholds natural family planning (NFP) as morally appropriate. NFP training courses typically cite studies on the effectiveness of NFP in preventing pregnancy. They may also make empirical claims about other effects of NFP, such as its effect on the likelihood of divorce. These are both subjects of social sciences.
